Scouting for Locations.

Being a sci-fi epic, there was always going to be a lot of bluescreen work
involved in the film to incorporate the special effects... this is a bit of
a snag for us... we don't have a blue screen. So lets look for a location
that is blue! This is a lot harder than you may thing... ok, the sky is
blue... we could film all of our stuff on a cliff face, the sky background
will act as a blue screen... I do not like heights though, this is too
risky. Ok, so basically the blue screen concept ends here, the only other
blue room I know of is at the Moonah Basketball Stadium, court 1 is painted
like a fish tank, blue walls all around. But we'd have to call them and ask,
and that's too much effort. So all bar 1 scene in the movie will be filmed
at ahousenearyou in fact, the space ships have been constructed in the
loungeroom. They are ready to rock and roll - more about that in the next
report on Set Design.

The film, as the title may suggest, follows the search for a mystical Ladel
from the planet Zendar... we needed Zendar to be a relatievely untouched
environment, suggesting it had become over grown and run into ruin since it
is no longer inhabited, for this we've decided on our backyard... it's perfect.

So we're really just after 1 more location, the location where first contact
between the human and alien race takes place... this location will remain a
secret for now. You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
