Tonnes of Wood

Home

It Begins

When the rain came

Small things

tonnes of wood

The ball starts a rollin'

After almost half a beers worth of effort each, we'd made a bit of a dent. Outside looked like this:

Where as inside, looked like this:

We weren't too sure of the best way to stack wood… do you just chuck it at the heap? Or do you go to the effort of making it all nice and pretty and evenly spaced out. We did both… we threw it from one pile to the other, then stacked it up. Smart huh? We get to use our rage and anger at one end, then at the other show our precision and Tetris skills as we slot logs into spaces. Then we get to drink beer… good yeah? We were finding our rhythm.

And then the rain came.

Lugging tonnes of wood while getting rained on is pretty much the only thing worse than lugging tonnes of wood. As well as the fact that you're getting rained on and made cold, the wood gets slippery, so when you throw it at the pile it slips and hits things that it shouldn't hit.. like the light, or the table tennis table, or Stu.

Looks like a good time for a page break...
click here for the next page, it's great!
Go on, it's much better than this one, I promise.
